Jessica had an idea…
One day, while we were packing up the Woofboxes, our five year old daughter Jessica asked a very good question. “What about the dogs without homes? Who gives them their toys and treats?” We couldn‘t give her a suitable answer… But after some discussion and hard work, we came up with a way to help homeless dogs in rescues around the UK feel loved. The Donate-a-Box was born! 

What is Donate-a-Box?

Donate-a-Box is our way of supporting small independent dog-based charities and rescues all over the UK who are often run on a shoestring and a whole lot of love and kindness. Many were hit hard by the Pandemic and need all the help they can get. Sending a Donate-a-Box is a way of gifting a box full of toys and treats to the dogs that need it most.

How does it work?

On our website you can order a Donate-aBox full of toys and treats to be sent to a charity from the list provided, or choose your own charity or rescue if you have a specific one in mind. You can send it anonymously, or add a special note so they know who it’s from. Once your order has come through, we’ll pack up the box and send it out for you. Its a great way to help homeless dogs feel you love.

Can it really make a difference?

Sending toys and treats to dogs in rescue homes is more than just a kind gesture—it can actually make a world of difference! Dogs in unfamiliar environments can feel stressed and anxious, and a little extra love in the form of toys helps keep them mentally stimulated and boredom-free. Treats? Well, they’re not just a yummy snack! They offer positive reinforcement during training and bring a little comfort to their day.

Plus, here’s the cool part:
Sending goodies can help these pups find forever homes. When potential adopters see a dog happily playing with a toy or enjoying a treat, they get a glimpse of the dog’s playful, loyal personality. And let’s be real—who can resist a pup that looks so happy and full of life?
